Events & Activities

Membership to the Algonquin Club of Boston grants access to Club events,  distinguished speaker series,
holiday dinners, and annual meetings.  Celebrate the milestones with unparalleled service in world-class style.

Member Events

Throughout the year a wide variety of events are held for the entertainment of Club members, their families, and invited guests. Regular announcements are mailed in advance for all such occasions. A monthly newsletter details upcoming events, as well as reminder emails throughout the month. For the most up to date listing of events, please see the calendar page.

Club Nights

For Club members, spouses, and guests. Usually these consist of a social hour and dinner followed by special entertainment: Theater Engagements, Symphony, Pops, Book Club, Author Evenings, and Sports Nights. Members and their families recently celebrated the Holiday season with a Nutcracker Night at the Clubhouse before Boston Ballet's performance, members enjoyed a piano performance by Tanglewood alumnus, Arseny Gusev, and our book club discusses contemporary fiction as well as the classics on a monthly basis.

Seafood Buffet & Dining Specials

Each month, the Club hosts a Seafood Buffet for members to welcome their families and guests. Our Executive Chef serves the freshest and most delicious assortment of local and exotic seafood in our exquisite Main Dining Room. Every Thursday, Chef serves Maine Lobster Bisque, Maine Lobster Salad, Maine Lobster Roll or Club Lobster Sliders, and Baked Stuffed Lobster in both the Grill Room and Main Dining Room. Reservations are required.

Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series

The Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series features leaders in the arts and sciences, government, finance, business, and religion. Members are encouraged to bring guests to this event which typically begins with a cocktail hour preceding remarks, followed by dinner. Recent Guest Speakers include Political Advisor and Bush Chief of Staff, Karl Rove, Actress, Mary-Louise Parker, and Celebrity Chef, Jacques Pepin.

Holiday Dinners

Every year there is a festive dinner for the Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Mother's Day holidays. Offering special menus for the occasion and staggered seating, members find the service, ambiance and convenience of these special occasions to be unparalleled. Many members have made their holiday dinner at the Algonquin Club a family tradition.
